This stage of the Vélodyssée in the Basque Country is of great interest. After the Nive, the sea becomes our familiar horizon. Beautiful beaches, major cultural sites and remarkable built heritage pass by at the heart of BAB. A cycle path leads us to the beaches of Anglet and to the heart of Biarritz.

It is between the fine sandy beaches lined with maritime pines and the banks of the Nive, with the Pyrenees in the background, that we find all the magic of the Basque Country. This varied route, devoid of tedious climbs and almost entirely on a protected route, is to be enjoyed with the family!

This beautiful walk located in Bayonne in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, along the water takes you to the banks of the Adour. The route begins near the Pont Charles Vaillant, continues on the Quai Amiral Bergeret and the Quai de Lessens to the Pont Henri Grenet. The return is on the opposite bank. Along the way you will have a splendid view of the citadel and the Adour.

This route is a tarred path, a quasi-Greenway on the banks of the Nive river, between the center of the city of Bayonne and the very beautiful Basque tourist village of Ustaritz, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department. This route can be taken by pedestrians, joggers and cyclists.

Between the banks of the Nive, reed beds, wet meadows and forest, access to the plain of Ansot is via the main path. Access point to several themed trails, the latter runs along the Nive from the Pont Blanc to the Uhaldia farm and leads to the Maison des Barthes and the Bayonne Natural History Museum.
