Hamilton Lodge & Spa

Starting from the hamilton lodge at an altitude of 2050m, you reach the ridges directly up to the 2550m ridge. Once on the ridge, a beautiful view of the Valais mountains but also of the Aletsch glacier. Then to the cross on the Foggenhorn. Then descent to the mountain village of Nessel and return to Belalp via the mountain pastures. Magnificent views over the Rhône valley and the Simplon. Beautiful rocks with a little snow every now and then.

Cablecar to Belap, then uphill to Foggenhorn, downhill back to Belap via Nessel.

The first stage of path number 39 is unique. Views of the Aletsch Glacier, crossing the suspension bridge to the Aletsch Forest and the Villa Cassel on the Riederfurka with fantastic Valais mountains.
