Here is a good walk that will take you through Ring of Gullion AONB to Slieve Gullion. There are alternative walks from the same starting point although they are longer and more arduous. This one does a solid job of still giving you a good workout, climbing the initial hill and it fits the description of a moderate hike. You will have great views throughout of the green hills and valleys.

This trail takes you to the summit of Slieve Foye where you'll have sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. This is an off-trail route with very little maintained path. It can be rocky with unstable underfoot. Please take extra caution when attempting this route. Note: pay attention to signs where dogs are not allowed, as free-roaming sheep are in those areas, and farmers, being protective of their sheep, take loose dogs very seriously, especially during lambing season.
