This 11.27 kilometer route will take you to the banks of the Doubs in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. You can complete this route on foot or by bike on specially designed routes. You will leave from the Church of Saint-Vincent d'Avanne in the village of Avanne-Aveney. You will follow the Grande Rue which joins the Chemin d'Avanne à Velotte. You will cross Le Doubs on the Pont de Velotte and come back on the Chemin de Halage to the Rue du Pont. You will cross Le Doubs a second time before...

The Besançon Belt GRP® is a step-by-step hiking circuit that takes you on the paths around between the plain and the Doubs valley. This route begins in Avannes-Aveney in the Doubs. The hilly course passes through the Mont des Buis, Montfaucon, Chalèze, Roche-lès-Beaupré, Thise, Valentin, the Bois de la Chenille, the Bois de la Menère, the Bois de Franois and the Bois Monsieur. Along the way you will have very beautiful views of the green countryside that surrounds Besançon as well as the city.

On the western outskirts of the city of Besançon, you will do a 6.92 kilometer loop on foot or by running. You will thus discover the Bois de la Chaille. You will leave counter from the Les Tilleroyes Care and Rehabilitation Center car park. You will follow the Chemin de la Chaille and finish on the Chemin du Sanatorium. A nice walk in the forest that is suitable for family hiking days.

This hike from Besançon will take you into the forest where you can enjoy the freshness and the panoramic view of the Doubs valley below from the summit. You will always go down again in the forest to the Chemin des Vallières which will bring you back to the starting point. This last part is on a paved road along the Boulevard Ouest. If you walk with a dog, it is recommended to keep them on a leash.
