Discover the GRP® Bassin Minier Nord-Pas de Calais through stopovers in Artois, at the heart of the religious and mining heritage of Ostrevent. This route begins in Béthune and forms a loop passing through Fouquereuil, Gosnay, Houchin, Barlin, Rebreuve-Ranchicourt, Houdain, Bruay-la-Buissière, Marles-les-Mines, Lapugnoy, Chocques, Vendin-lès-Béthune and Annezin.

This urban hike is located northeast of Noeux-les-Mines and begins Rue du Marais in Verquigneul. The route goes around a pond and passes, among other places, by the Parc Léo Lagrange and the Etang Léo Lagrange and the Terril 46 culminating at an altitude of 46 m, before returning to the starting point.

Not far from Béthune, go for a walk in the Bois des Dames, around the Terril n°12. The route starts at the Maison de la Forêt. This is a wooded route that takes you on a discovery of the industrial heritage so characteristic of the region. The vegetation is quite dense in some places, so keep an eye on the map to make sure you follow the right path.
