Bikes are not allowed in the natural area but can be used on the paved sidewalks around the lake. This is a pretty stroll through nature tucked away in the city. You will see plenty of iguanas and a turtle or two. Most of this trail is paved, but look out for the red square and yellow circle trails off of the main loop, which will take you through relatively secluded sandy paths. This is a nice wide and paved loop that travels the perimeter of Blue Lake. There are scenic overlooks of the lake and many opportunities to observe native wildlife in the area. There is also a nature trail that leaves from this main loop for those who want to explore the natural area surrounding the lake.

This mountain bike trail overlaps with the park-wide Nature Trail, following along nearly the same path the entire time. This is a well-maintained multi-use path that follows the El Rio Canal between Glades Road and Spanish River Boulevard in Boca Raton. It is a completely paved path that borders Florida Atlantic University to the east. The route features rest areas every so often under the shade provided by the numerous trees.
