An incredible wasteland, very close to Bogotá. The Páramo de Sumapaz, with its many lagoons and its imposing rocky peaks (cuchillas). The walk is easy, but the weather can be a factor of difficulty. The rain, constant in the place, will dissuade the less brave. But beyond the cloud and the rain, there are the Cuchillas de Bocagrande, which you can climb if you arrive early.

This very short route is a loop through some of the trails of the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park, also known as Simón Bolívar Central Park or simply Simón Bolívar Park. This tour begins by taking the Bogotá - Choachí road. Follow the road first towards the La Chorrera waterfall, which is reached by a detour that is a few minutes from reaching Choachí. The detour is well demarcated and although the road is uncovered, vehicles other than jeeps or camper vans manage to enter.
