The trail is well marked and initially follows a macadam road, and then a stony path along the mountain, called Vela staza or Roman trail, because it was built back in Roman times. The trail starts from Bol and ascends to Gornji Humac, so through beautiful landscapes and autochthonous Brač settlements it descends towards Selce and Sumartin, which is the easternmost settlement on Brač. From Sutivan, the trail climbs towards Selce and then descends to Povlja. Back towards Bol the trail goes the same way. Beautiful scents of kadulja (sage) follow the entire trail.
