Beautiful loop on the Luxembourg-German border. The easy loop leads along the banks of the Sauer. It starts at the Bollendorfer Pont car park. First you gain a bit of altitude along the road and can enjoy the view of the Sauer. Then it goes down again and you cross the road and the river and walk along the bank back to the starting point. There are places to stop for refreshments along the way.

The path finally leads back out of the forest and the last stretch directly along the Sauer border river back to the starting point.

Excitingly beautiful hiking route in the Southern Eifel Nature Park. A very nice route that starts at the Waldhotel Sonnenberg in Boliendorf. The Maria Theresa Stone, which used to mark the border between Vianden and Echternach as a historical boundary stone, was erected in 1771 and is named after Empress Maria Theresa.
