B&B HOTEL Bordeaux Bassins à flot

This hike starts at Le Bouscat, near Place Raveziés and at the "Cracow" stop. The route passes, among other places, by the Lac de Bordeaux, the Ecological Reserve of Barails, and crosses the Jalle de Blanquefort. The route continues via the Lac de Marotte, the Marais de Florimond, the Lac des Padouens, Le Déhès and the Parc Ausone, before returning to the starting point.

The GR® Bordeaux Métropole is a marked route that goes around the city of Bordeaux over 160 km passing through 17 municipalities, thus connecting the main green spaces of the agglomeration. It became the first metropolitan GR® in France in 2020, crowned by the French Hiking Federation. Before being a GR®, it was a discovery circuit of the Bordeaux conurbation.

This hike starts near the "Centre de formation du Lac" bus stop and the Parc Denis et Eugène Bülher, in Bordeaux Lac. The route passes, among other things, by the Plage du Lac and circles the lake by taking the pedestrian and cycling footbridge. The Lake of Bordeaux was previously a swamp. Dried up in the 1960s, it now offers many urban leisure activities, including the Plage du Lac, which has been open to the public since 1990.

In the city center, you will find two circuits in the middle of the buildings to spend a pleasant moment around a pond or along a basin. The Nature Reserve of Bruges is a 265 hectare nature reserve, a vestige of the “great marshes of Bordeaux-Bruges” offers a mosaic of landscapes of great ecological and heritage value. This urban hike starts from Place Paul Doumer, in Chartrons. The route passes by the Marché des quais and the many shops and restaurants along the quays, Cap Sciences, the Cité du Vin, the Musée Mer Marine, and the Quai Lawton, among others, before returning to the starting point.
