Start of this route at the Saint-Seurin basilica (11th century). You will then stroll in the direction of the Palais Gallien. The remains of this amphitheater recall the Roman past of the city. The walk ends at the Jardin Public (check the opening hours).

From Novotel Meriadeck, walk east on Cours du Marechal Juin. You can see on the right the "Tribunal de Grand Instance" (High Courthouse) and behind it the the "Ecole National de la Magistrature" where all the French judges must be trained. Continue on the Rue de frères Bonie to the Cathédrale St André. The Saint Andre Cathedral is the biggest church in Bordeaux, and it was declared part of the Santiago Pilgrims' World Heritage.
