Nice trail with moderate difficulty but a few hairpins and hills that can be challenging. It's a narrow trail; shin guards welcome to protect your legs from taking a lashing from passing foliage. Although you can continue along this trail past the overpass, users have reported that this section of the route is very overgrown and difficult to navigate.

This is a well-maintained asphalt trail that is wide enough for both coming and going traffic. The trail has plenty of places to stop along the way, (some with water fountains) with benches to rest. This trail is scenic, as it runs along the Red River (during high water times, some parts of this trail are flooded). This route is located on the East Reservation of Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City. In order to access this trail, you will need to belong to the base or know who does to sign in at the guard gate. Visitors will need proof of insurance, driver’s license, and registration for your vehicle to enter. This is a great trail on the east side of Barksdale AFB beyond the “Jurassic Gate”. It is a great route for all levels of mountain biking.
