Here is a hiking route that is suitable for family days out. From the Chemin de la Rivière, on the outskirts of the village of Brignais, the route runs along Le Garon in the undergrowth to the Aqueduc du Gier. Measuring 85 km, it is the longest of the four aqueducts that supplied the city of Lugdunum - today the city of Lyon - with water, and the one whose structures are best preserved. The return is made in the forest and on the little busy country roads.
