Sabaletas is a town near Buenaventura that is really worth visiting. It has a river with very clear waters, surrounded by abundant forest and an area where you can bathe. Arrival transport is easy, from Buenaventura you take a bus / colectivo and then a jeep but the return can be somewhat more complicated because you will have to wait only until a new jeep arrives. Upstream there are some cabins where there is lodging, going up in a canoe with one of the locals.

Near Buenaventura is the town of San Cipriano, whose access is through the railroad, in a "brujita", a kind of spherical car that is driven by a motorcycle. Once in the place, there are some paths to go, including some that lead to waterfalls. In this route, there is the route to one of the waterfalls, also a route along the river, descending on a tire back to the town. In the end, a good lunch in one of the restaurants. A highly recommended trip that takes just over half a day.
