Deerfoot Inn and Casino

This loop around the Eastern portion of Fish Creek Park is paved and makes for a great walk or bike ride. There are two pedestrian bridges along this route used to access the other side of the river. The scenery is great especially from the tops of the hills, and the open space and fresh air make for an enjoyable journey.

This multi-use trail follows alongside the Bow River in the South of Calgary and explores the Northern part of Fish Creek Provincial Park. The trail starts from the parking lot at the end of 153 Avenue SE in the community of Deer Run and follows the Bow River Pathway North but can be started from anywhere along the trail. Sue Higgins Park, formerly Southland Park, lies along the banks of the Bow River in the southeast and is home to the largest fenced off-leash dog area in Calgary.
