Conveniently located in South of Calgary within the community of Cougar Ridge, this trail loops around a pond at the top of Paskapoo Slopes. The trailhead is located along Cougar Ridge Heights SW. This short and easy trail is great for all ages and skills. The trail itself is flat with a mix of gravel and packed dirt. Views down and beyond Paskapoo Slopes makes this trail a pleasure to be on.

This is a beautiful hike, but you will need good shoes in any season. Crampons/shoes spikes are needed in winter. Trying to stay on the path can sometimes be difficult do to the vast majority of paths you can take and zero signs, so download the offline maps if this will be your first time here. Each time you come out it will always be different! There are some amazing city views and forest experiences, so this is quite a good experience.

The trailhead parking lot is located at the end of 51 Avenue Northwest just of off the corner of Bearspaw Dam Road Northwest and 85 Street Northwest. The trail is a multi-use paved pathway. This is an awesome city trial encompassing Bowness, Baker and Bowment parks. This adventure is great for walking, hiking, biking or trial running. This is a very busy trail, and it has beautiful scenery and the pathway connects to Bowness Park via the pedestrian bridge. This also connected Trans-Canada Trail. Dog love this trail and the off-leash area in Bowment.
