The Elbow River Pathway is a great walkway along Calgary's Elbow River. Its north starting point is at the Bow River, offering views of Saint Patrick's Island, a popular park just outside the heart of downtown Calgary. Segments of this route take you along the river and through the elegant neighbourhood of Elboya. This path can be started almost anywhere along its length.

This route follows the outermost loop of Prince's Island Park. It begins from downtown, where there is a parking lot and street parking available. The park consists of many trails, both paved and gravel, and there are more riverside trails to explore on either side of the park with several bridges available to cross the river. This is a short loop in the heart of Calgary perfect for exploring Prince's Island Park, the riverside, and sights of downtown. There are many more trails to explore in the park, as well as across the river on the downtown side. There are plenty of bridges so you can adapt the walk to your circumstances. One of the bridges in this loop is the famous Peace Bridge.

Tom Campbell's Hill sits along St. George's Drive and overlooks Memorial Drive, Bow River and Nose Creek.
