This is a nice walk in a grassland area and is easy to access from Deerfoot Trail. The loop parallels Deerfoot Trail on the east side and Beddington Trail on the southwest, so there is traffic noise along part of the loop. There are a lot of flora and wildflowers including wild roses, and deer can be seen here as well. It's usually not too busy and there are more trails and some lovely bridges to explore.

Nose Hill Park is a large natural area in northwest Calgary with numerous multi-use trails. This loop option begins at the Berkley Gate parking lot and makes its way around the northern portion of the park. The trails are a mix of paved and gravel and some hills provide interesting variation. Dogs must be kept on leash, but there are off-leash areas further into the park.

This urban nature escape is a nice walk along mostly paved trails through the Edgemont Ravine neighbourhood. The trails are well maintained, and there are numerous access points from adjacent parks and main boulevards. There are great places to birdwatch in the spring and fall, and these trails are even great for picnics.

Conveniently located in the North of Calgary between the communities of Rosemont and Mount Pleasant, this trail explores the entirety of Confederation Park. Parking can be found at the Confederation Park Public Parking just off of 30 Avenue NW. From the parking lot, follow the trail West till you reach the tunnel under 14 Street NW before turning back.
