This portion of the Elbow River Pathway spans from Stanley Park to Sandy Beach. There is a parking lot at either end and the trail is fully paved, great for a stroll, run, or bike ride. The area can get very busy on a nice summer day, with nearby amenities such as picnic benches, bathrooms, and river access.

This multi-use trail follows alongside the Bow River in the South of Calgary. The trail starts from at the parking lot for Carburn Park and follows the Bow River Pathway North but can be started from anywhere along the trail. Gorgeous views of the Bow River throughout and all its wildlife. The trail can be extended or shortened to ones needs.

Carburn Park is a large natural area park nestled along the Bow River featuring three man-made ponds, a regional pathway, and numerous wildlife, waterfowl and wildflowers to experience. This is a loop around the often busy off-leash dog portion of River Park. There is a lookout and several beautiful views with benches along the eastern trail overlooking the river valley and downtown Calgary in the distance. The more western trail is very close to the road. This park also connects to Sandy Beach, the ridge behind Britannia, and more trails in the area.
