This paved path is fantastic for a walk on the southeast side of the reservoir. The paths are well-maintained and the trail is flat. There are also well established bike lanes around the whole reservoir. The trail continues west past the Glenmore Sailing School along somewhat more wild and sheltered trails.

The Elbow River Pathway starting from the golf course is a great walkway along Calgary's Elbow River. Other segments of this route also take you through the elegant neighbourhood of Elboya. This path can be started almost anywhere along its length. It finishes at the Bow River, where other pathways extend off, for those looking for more time outside. The finishing point will offer views of Saint Patrick's Island, a popular park just outside the heart of downtown Calgary.

This is a loop around the often busy off-leash dog portion of River Park. There is a lookout and several beautiful views with benches along the eastern trail overlooking the river valley and downtown Calgary in the distance. The more western trail is very close to the road. This park also connects to Sandy Beach, the ridge behind Britannia, and more trails in the area.

The Glenmore Reservoir Trail is a decently long moderate multi-use trail that both hikers and mountain-bikers will enjoy. Since this route along the reservoir is close to the city, users of all experience types will really appreciate the nature and natural experiences that the area offers - especially when folks do not want to drive far to get outside to relax! The trail will venture through fields, forest, over bridges, beside meadows, and will have plenty of access points to the water....

This portion of the Elbow River Pathway spans from Stanley Park to Sandy Beach. There is a parking lot at either end and the trail is fully paved, great for a stroll, run, or bike ride. The area can get very busy on a nice summer day, with nearby amenities such as picnic benches, bathrooms, and river access.
