This trail explores the popular and enormous Fish Creek Provincial Park in the South of Calgary. This loop follows trails on both sides of Fish Creek and explores the East part of the park. This trail starts from the parking lot just off of Bannister Road Southeast but can be started from anywhere in the park. The trail itself varies from paved pathways to packed dirt pathways. This loop offers a gorgeous immersion in a lush forested area with lots of wildlife and flora.

Head South across the former Bow Valley Ranch pasture and barnyards (razed). After crossing Fish Creek keep your eyes open for deer, porcupine and even garter snakes as you complete this easy paved loop. Highlights include a forest grove and wetlands on the east end and access to a path leading to an ice-cave on the west-side. The entrance to this park and the trailhead parking lot has been shut to allow passive walk-ins only, to help maintain the sensitive ecological areas of this park. This route is good for cycling, rollerblading, scootering. There is not much tree cover but there is good access to the Bow River Valley. The trail is family friendly and easy, and during winter, this is a fantastic cross-country ski loop.

Beginning from the parking lot at Sikome Lake, this trail heads north on a downhill, setting a quick pace. It then crosses Fish Creek and makes a loop on the other side around Bow Valley Ranche. The portion along the creek is flat, then crossing the creek again has you climbing up the hill back to the starting point.
