This route is known as "The ascent to Piz Boè" and is one of the most famous and popular excursions in the area. This must-see route takes you from Passo Pordoi (2239m) down to the Fedaia Lake and offers incredible views. During the hike you will enjoy different panoramas all the time. At the end of the route it is possible to take the bus back to the starting point and halve the duration of the trail. On the lake you will find the Marmolada Castiglioni Refuge where you can also stay overnight from June to September.

An easy hike that is also suitable for families, although you should be in good physical condition. From Passo Pordoi (2239m) passing through the Fedaia basin with a view of the Marmolada. Continue on Via Portavescovo (2478m) and view of Arraba until you return to Passo Pordoi, on path n. 680.

Part of the trail winds over a lava deposit in the heart of the Dolomites, following the historic trade routes to the Veneto region. The descent into Penìa and the subsequent climb to the Contrin hut illustrates the history and culture of the Ladine people. It is a long stage but not a hard one considering that none of the trail is steep.
