This is a nice and convenient trail. If you stray from the trail that goes right around the lake, though, it’s very bumpy - lots of roots. With all the offshoots from the trail to various other greenways, it can be slightly confusing. Part of the trail is paved and part of the trail is a natural surface with tree roots. Inspiration Trail is an easy .4 mi. interpretive loop accessed from the Reedy Creek (southeastern side via I-40 North Harrison exit) in North Carolina's Umstead State Park featuring a variety of native and non-native trees described on marked signs along the path.
