This route features a variety of terrain along the way and gives visitors a taste of unspoiled Texas landscapes to explore. This land has sat undisturbed by people since 1993 when it was originally purchased. Since then, it has been in development for recreational use and now offers a wide network of trails to hike and bike on.

The beginning of this route leads from Parking Lot A and travels along the Joe Johnston Route until connecting with Caroline's Loop. There is a relatively rocky and hilly section on Caroline's Loop and sturdy footwear is suggested. Many sections of this trail are exposed and bringing sun protection is advised.

This is a great trail for exploring the Wildcat Canyon area in the park. There is a decent climb with moderate elevation gain as you head east into the canyon. The trail itself is rocky and narrow, with trees and shrubs lining the path. This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers.
