Easy hike on well maintained dirt trail with crystal clear streams and wild flowers. This hike is along a wide dirt trail that is very well maintained. Cardinal Trail: About 1/2 mi into the hike you will cross one of the cleanest streams around, by means of a nice wooden bridge. In the spring the ground is covered with Wild Bluebells. Many other wild flowers are also present, and the birds are everywhere. The trail will join up with the local nature trail for the second half of your walk....

This route takes you along the south side of the Katoski Greenbelt. You'll travel along Blackhawk Creek, with views of the creek in a few places. There are also a few small ponds along this trail.
