This is a peaceful route along a well-maintained trail that offers many views of the lake along the way. There is a variety of scenery along the way with plenty of shade through a forested area. Benches are located sporadically throughout the trail for those who wish to take a break and relax in the serene environment.

This trail is intended to be multi-use and is shared by mountain bikers and hikers. There are a lot of tight switchbacks and other technical features along the way. This is a great trail that travels through a nicely shaded wooded area. The trail is steady, flat, and marked well. This is a great choice for families with young children who want to explore a pleasant hiking area. For those who want to extend their hike, there are several connecting trails, such as Deer Run Trail that run perpendicular to the path.
