This trail has a good amount of shade for running and had a number of trash receptacles for dog walkers and strollers. After the 1.5 mile mark, this trail follows along roadways and sidewalks. Some of the roadways do not have designated bike lanes or sidewalks. Wearing bright colors and using flags and lights is always recommended for personal safety when sharing space with motor vehicles. The Bill Yeck Park Purple Trail loop takes you on a rout of the beautiful native meadow area that is surrounded by forest on all sides. You'll begin by parking near the tennis courts, where there are restrooms, a picnic shelter, and a playground. You'll journey to a meadow overlook and the Five-Fingered Sycamore. You'll even pass a pollinator apiary on your route.

This loop through Bill Yeck Park takes you first through an open area with lots of places to stop and explore the nature education features that the park has to offer. There is a beautiful overlook of the meadow on this section of trail. The Orange Trail takes you through the forested section of the park along Sugar Creek, past Bluebird Meadow and the Pioneer Sawmill Site.

This route takes you on a full tour of the Bill Yeck Park trails. The only trail section you won't venture on in this route is Green Trail loop around the soccer fields. This beautiful route takes you through meadows, forests, wetlands. You'll cross creeks and pass historic mill sites. This route has a lot to offer in every corner of the park!
