This walk will allow you to explore the Bois de Soeuvres, a leafy forest mainly composed of oaks and beeches, in the town of Vern-sur-Seiche, at the gates of Rennes. The Bois de Soeuvres was once the site of several fights during the French revolution. Now peaceful, it is home to a variety of flora and fauna including many birds (tits, blackbirds, winter wrens, robins, nuthatches, garden creepers).

You will follow the banks of the Vilaine river to reach the Dézerseul pond, before returning to the starting point. You will find a playground and several picnic tables in the park.

This route mainly follows the towpaths of the Ille, the Ille et Rance canal and the Rance river to Saint-Malo station. It notably passes through Montreuil-sur-Ille, Chapelle-aux-Filtzméens, Dinan or Plouër-sur-Rance.
