Super 8 by Wyndham Chanute

This is a dirt path near a lake. There is also a disc golf course. Accessibility: It is unclear if there are any designated accessible spaces in the gravel parking lot off of Chanute 35 Parkway at the east end of the trail. The trail surface is a natural dirt surface and typically at least 5 feet wide. The estimated grade is mostly gentle (5% or less). All-terrain tires or motorized equipment may be needed for the surface type and grade.

The Creekside trail follows Elm Creek from the Eastern Trailhead west to the historic Sinclair-Hegwald Bridge. The South Loop Trail offers the most spectacular views at Lehigh Portland Trails. The trail runs through cedar and hardwood forest, open grasslands, and along the edge of 30-foot bluffs of the 100-acre quarry lake. There are several places to stop and just take in the view before continuing.

The Backbone Trail is part of the Lehigh Portland Trails system. It is a wide gravel trail that connects the Eastern Trailhead to the Western Trailhead through the heart of the Lehigh property.
