This is a lovely hike up St. Thomas Mount, which is well-known for its deposits of Charnockite, a rock combination made of quartz, feldspar, and hypersthene. Although Job Charnock wasn't the founder of this rock, he was the founder of the city of Kolkata, his tomb was built using this rock and hence the rock was given the name Charnockite. Other than that, it's a lovely, picturesque area with lush surrounds.
