Heavily used by bikes. It has lots of jump courses set up. The back section off the end of Miller Avenue is the most heavily used. Nice wooded trails. You can do an outside loop of 2 miles but there are closer to 10 miles of trails zig zaging the entire park.

A pleasant, easy, large loop around the lake, popular with families and for fishing. Accessibility: There is at least 1 designated accessible space in the paved parking lot off of Byron Street at the north end of the trail. It is van-accessible with a striped access aisle. This is an extremely well-maintained trail running north for about a half-mile and then looping back. If combined with the south loop there are more than two miles of trail. Accessibility: There do not appear to be any designated accessible spaces in the gravel parking lot off of Oak Grove Road at the southwest end of the trail. The Chesapeake Arboretum has more than two and a half miles of hiking trails. There is a loop trail to the north and another to the south. The southern loop turns into an out and back for the last part. There are benches about every 1/10th mile on the north loop for resting. Although the grade is gentle, due to the uneven surface (stairs, and rocks and roots) that is less than 3 ft wide in places, the trail is not considered wheelchair or stroller friendly.
