This is a pleasant and relatively flat trail that travels along the Lone Star Hiking Trail. The trail is well marked in most parts and opens up in several spots to get some sun and take a break from bugs when hiking in the summer months. The Mercy Primitive Campsite is located about 1 1/2 miles in. The trail is well worn for about 2 miles until you cross a pipeline easement. The trail is much well less traveled afterward and there are several overgrown sections to push through.
