The trail follows a gorge through the park. The northern portion is often very rocky and at times requires alertness to remain on-route. It is often used as a very technical ride for expert mountain bikers. The southern section is much more gentle. However, in winter it receives much less sun and can often be icy to the point where Yaktrax or micro-spikes should be considered. This is a great short hike near downtown Colorado Springs, featuring s fair bit of uphill hiking on a quick look up to Pulpit Rock and then back down. Great for families and dog walkers alike, as well as people looking for a quick jog. There are many trails in this area if you wish to extend your hike or would prefer a longer, more challenging workout.

A hidden gem in the downtown Colorado Springs area. The park is a network of many small trails, with the highlight being the climb to the Pulpit Rock ridge line. The top provides beautiful views of the Rockies. The climb is of moderate difficulty, with the perimeter trails being an easy walk.
