This trail begins at Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center and climbs Donner Canyon Road and descends Back Canyon Trail to create a somewhat challenging loop. There are lovely views of the surrounding hillsides and oak trees along the way. In the spring, the trail can be quite muddy, with a few creek crossings.
