Tivoli opened in 1843, and is the third oldest amusement park in the world that is still in use. To get into Tivoli, an entrance fee must be paid and an additional fee for trying the rides.

Strøget is also one of Europe's longest shopping streets with its 1.1 kilometers. The name strøget dates back to the 19th century, as it was the nickname of the area covering the streets Frederiksberggade, Nygade, Vimmelskaftet and Østergade as well as the squares Nytorv, Gammeltorv and Amagertorv.
