This three- and one-quarter mile trail loops through the forested hillsides of Onondaga Cave State Park and starts in the campground near campsite 17. While walking this trail, you will go through the upland forest into some glades and cross a few wet-weather creeks. Depending on the weather, a number of small waterfalls occur along these creeks. The trail is marked with red flagging and arrows.

Starts from the visitor center parking lot and heads by beautiful rock formations and other natural beauty. Features a bridge over the millpond too. Accessibility: There are 3 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Highway H at the east end of the trail. All of them are van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is pavement or packed gravel (with partial railings), and typically at least 5 feet wide. The estimated grade is flat (1% or less)....

There is a parking fee here. Lots of educational markers on the steel mill that operated here from 1829 through the 1870s, and beautiful paved/gravel trails that walk alongside the river. Bring some quarters if you want to feed the rainbow trout! It's like a state park with lots of bathrooms, a playground, and rubbish bins.
