Texel is an ideal place for beautiful cycling routes. The paths are (semi-)paved and always good to cycle on while you have spectacular views of the sea on one side and the dunes on the other. This substantial route takes you across the entire island of Texel, starting in De Koog. It's a long route, but with plenty of places to stop along the way. This route also makes some foothills to sights and viewpoints.

Features
A leisurely bike ride on Texel, from De Koog to the lighthouse. The route leads to the lighthouse on the edge of the dunes. You drive along the coast to De Cocksdorp. A bit through the countryside follows, and at the village of De Waal you make a round around the Waalenburg nature reserve. From here you are quickly back at the starting point. The route is also good as a running route.
