This is a great short loop hike, which serves as a perfect addition to any visit to the Rock Springs Nature Center. From the Nature Center parking area, you can do this loop in either direction. The path alternates between shaded forest and open meadow, and you'll be near some private residences at points, so please remember to be respectful.

Discovery Trail is a really fun little route you can walk with kids. It's pretty flat and easy to walk, and is pretty much a must-do trail for any families or visitors making a trip to Rock Springs Nature Center. If you visit in late spring, you'll find the woodlands with lots of May apples just past bloom.

Bluestem Trail is a very nice mown grass trail, which takes hikers, walkers, strollers, and all other visitors from the Rock Springs Nature Center parking lot to Prairie Pond and back, making a nice easy loop around the area. This is one of the shorter hikes you can do in the Rick Springs area, so feel free to add on any of the other nearby trails if you want more of a trek.

This is a fun hike that begins at the Rock Springs Nature Center. While most of the hikes you can do from the Nature Center are fairly short and easy, this route provides a bit more of a challenge in that it's longer than most of the other hikes. You'll head past the Pine Forest, the Hickory Forest, and the Turtle Ponds, and the turnaround point marked here is the neighboring Kiwanis Park (though you can turn back at any point, of course).
