Loop trail around the Lonnekermeer, along the Koppelleiding, through the woods and along the river Blankenbellingsbeek. A bird-rich area where you walk with beautiful views. A beautiful, short and quiet walk where you regularly enjoy views of the water. You walk through grasslands, forests and orchards. Optionally, you can stop at the bird hide, slightly off the route. The trail is marked with orange arrows by Wandelnetwerk Twente.

Yellow marked trail through the Lonnekermeer estate and the forest De Wildernis. This yellow-marked trail of Hiking Network Twente from the starting point of Lonnekermeer runs through the estate and the southern woods. The lakes of the Lonnekermeer formed after sand excavations for the railway line. Soon a unique nature reserve was created, where textile merchants built their country houses. Walk from Deurningen around the Gammelkerbeek. This walking route has been plotted by Wandelnetwerk Twente and marked with purple arrows.

Beautifully varied loop trail through the outlying areas between Hengelo and Enschede. A hike through green areas, with a great mix of fields and forests and along numerous streams. The route takes you to the Hof Espelo estate, where you pass the coach house (open on Sundays for coffee and information). You leave the estate along the Kleine Haverriet creek and the star forest and walk north. Here you make another loop around the Lonnekermeer and its surrounding forests.
