Natural stage of the Westweg, Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg This is the second stage of the "Westweg" long-distance hiking trail laid out in 1900. This section leads from Dobel (near Bad Herrenalb) to Forbach. Shortly after the starting point, the path leads into the dense coniferous forests so typical of the Black Forest. In Kaltenbronn there is an opportunity to stop for refreshments, otherwise this section of the Westweg only leads along unmanaged mountain huts. More information about...

The loop is an easy tour with few up and down passages. The hike begins at the parking lot in Uhlandstraße and leads around Rotensol at the edge of the forest. The round is marked with the yellow diamond, but other sections of the trail network also have this marking here. Instead of traveling by car, it is possible to take the train to Bad Herrenalb.
