Features
This route as mapped here is a combination of the South and North Loops within the newly-added trail system at Ford County state Park. Both loop trails are winding and twisty, and both offer hikers some long stretches of walking alongside the peaceful Ford Lake. If you're there at the right time, you can spot some waterfowl or other wildlife. You can also alter this route, or choose to do just one of the loops, since the trailhead serves as beginning, end, and midpoint on this double loop.

Features
This is a long and winding trail through the southern end of Ford County State Park. The first leg of the trail follows the southern edge of Ford Lake, offering visitors some nice views and a chance to spot some waterfowl. It's quite flat and the terrain is easy to navigate, so this is a great walk to do with kids. If you're looking for a longer trip, you can easily add on any of the nearby connecting trails.

Features
The north loop trail around the western side of Ford Lake is not quite as lengthy as the Southern loop, but it's just as lovely. If you're looking for a longer loop, you can add on the southern loop, or alter or add to this loop as well. This end of the park is a bit more flat than the southern end, and should be manageable for most hikers.
