Trail through undiscovered parts of Limburg, plotted and maintained by Visit Zuid Limburg. From Doenrade Castle you walk through a fairytale area, with views of Germany, through beautiful stream valleys and centuries-old arable land. The walking route is marked with black (ring) posts. It is possible to halve the route.

Starting from the white castle of Doenrade, this trail takes you to relatively unknown places in Limburg, through rugged nature and with panoramic views. The trail also passes a number of cultural-historical interesting points, for example you will learn more about the mysterious history of the Bokkenrijders. The trail is marked with red posts.

The Sint Rosa route is dominated by the special Sint Rosa chapel where the route passes. It is a beautiful old pilgrim chapel where you can relax. From Doenrade you walk through a variety of nature and history, along the edge of Sittard and through the German Hillensberg. Every now and then you have views of the Maas and you pass the largest reserve in the Netherlands for the corn wolf.

The Steenuiltjes Natuurpad ("Little Owls Nature Trail") runs from Windraak through unique nature reserves. Starting at the Wanenberg, where you can find a badger castle and a botanical garden with over 300 local species of plants. The route then passes through fields and other unique nature reserves, such as the Hondskerk forest area and the Putherweg, a hollow road that reminds you of fairytales. The Geleenbeek flows right through Schinnen. The meandering river provides a great diversity of nature, which is why it has been declared a nature reserve. The river is surrounded by forests, lakes and history, all of which you will encounter. You walk to the Mulderplas lake and the Schinnen fishing ponds. You also visit the 18th century Heisterbruggemolen, Terborgh Castle and a Lady Chapel.
