The River Link Trail connects Dodge Point Preserve to Zak Preserve. The trail crosses a variety of private and public lands, so hikers should be mindful of staying on the trail when passing through the private property easements. The route shown here is an out and back, alternatively, hikers can do it as a point-to-point and set a shuttle.

The Timber Trail is an easy path good for visitor to Dodge Point of all ages. The trail leads through the forest past old stones walls, evidence of farms that used to be in the area. Hikers can follow the same path back or take the Old Farm Road Trail to create a loop. Keep an eye out for wildlife!

This is an easy path looping through Dodge Point along old roads historically used by farmers and loggers. The trail passes by a pond historically used to harvest ice for iceboxes before electric refrigeration was widely available. This loop is enjoyable year-round and the gentle grade makes it ideal for cross-country skiing.

This loop follows the Old Farm Road Trail for the majority of the route and adds on the Shore Trail walking along the Damariscotta River. This is a great part of the park for birders, osprey, heron, and eagles have all been spotted. Fishing is permitted, but anglers should be familiar with state of Maine fishing regulations and check with Newcastle town office before digging for clams.
