This is the shortened version of the Klompenpad Staickheimerpad. The entire route is 17 kilometers long. Starting at the southern edge of Stokkum you walk through the countryside to the Bergherbos. The forest has many hills, and during this route you climb to the top of the Huizenberg, where you will find a watchtower for amazing views. You will also pass a water source. The route is marked with red clogs.

Circular walk through the forests of Montferland, where you also get to see some of the history of the First World War. At that time, a large part of these forests belonged to Germany. In 1916 and 1917, trenches and bunkers were constructed here by the Germans. After the war, many of the defenses were blown up, but traces of this can still be seen. One of the trenches has been rebuilt so that one can experience what it was like to hide here as a soldier and learn about the history of the war...

The Galgenbergroute of Zeddam is a black pole walk through the nature of Montferland. The vast majority of this walk is a walk in the woods. Halfway along the route you walk through some fields, with views of 's Heerenberg. At almost the end of the route, the walk leads over the Galgenberg. Every now and then you come across information panels from Natuurmonumenten.

Large loop trail through the southern part of the Bergherbos forest, starting from Zeddam. It is a varied forest, with both coniferous and deciduous trees, and some heathlands and shifting sands. You visit some interesting points in the forest, such as the Galgenberg, the old belt mill and the Huizenberg watchtower. There is a restaurant at the starting point, but otherwise you will not come across any catering establishments along the way.
