This loop follows a short little trail along the old canal and Shubenacadie river. The pleasant boardwalk makes this a great loop to watch local wildlife and birds anytime of the year. Overall, this is a great place to just take a break and chill. During winter, walkers recommend wearing hiking boots or crampons beneath your normal shoes since these trails are not maintained and will be very icy and snowy.
