Head between the school house and go upwards toward the cemetery. At Buechli turn right onto the Grottenweg. First, you will see a beautiful view of the village and valley, then the path leads through a forest. It is a good walkable path with slight slope on natural surface. From Horbis / End of the World, the narrow, well-marked mountain path climbs steadily and in regular curves up to Alp Ober-Zieblen. From here the trail along the Hahnenmassiv over the beautiful Alp Dagenstal to the Fürenalp, the Alpengolfplatz and the Titlis massif is always in view. The ascent leads over the Terraceweg to the Hotel Waldegg. From there, the mountain road climbs steadily and winds along the forest to Schwand, where you will find a chapel. In a few bends, the path extends to the crossroads "Spisboden," where a nice picnic terrace invites you to sit and relax. Return via Bergli or Flühmatt through the shady forest or along the beautiful hiking trail to Engelberg.

This magnificent route lasts between two and 3 days and allows you to use the ski lifts from anywhere and sleep in a cabin. From Engelberg, the path leads via Zingel and Lake Lutersee to Eggendössli, where you take the Rugisbalm cable car to Mettlen (Grafenort).
