This area is mostly farmland mixed with a little bit of woods (more like a tree-lined path) and residential backyards. It is great for running, walking, and cycling. From the trailhead immediately go right and follow the yellow blazes (this portion is on the Horseshoe Trail). The first portion is all uphill, but it's easily managed, even with young children.
