Travel from the center of Tizmín to the beautiful Kikil cenote with this route. It has a section on the highway, where you need to use a lot of caution, but the route avoids it as much as possible. There is a small fee to enjoy the naturally circular lake in the jungle (this cenote is not in a cave) where you can swim. It's a short easy walk from the parking area to the structures. However, the heat and humidity can be extreme. Be sure to drink plenty of water to explore. There are 45 structures on the map, the most impressive being El Torre, which is the main tower located in the Central Plaza measuring 500 feet long, 200 feet wide and 100 feet tall. This incredible trail will take you through the density of the Yucatan jungle. You will be surrounded by the sounds of birds and you will find a variety of fauna. This trail beings on the path that will take you to this cenote. The deviation is marked by a sign on the side of Pisté road. This cenote is not very touristy and you will be lucky enough to swim alone. Here you will find restrooms and showers.
