There are 880 hectares of outdoor and recreational areas in Central Park in the center of Espoo. Central Park is an ecologically important connection from the sea to the Nuuksio Lake Plateau. A route from Suomenoja to Koivuhovi runs through Espoo's central park. The route starts following Finnoopuro, and runs along the edge of the nature reserve of the Keskuspuisto forest area.

Paddling route from Sepetlahti marina through Svartholmen and Stora Bödö to Knapperskär. The journey continues through the Lehtisaari islands to Torra Lövö, and returns to the starting point. Gösgrund and Torra Lövö have a camping areas where you can stay overnight. Knappeskär has a rest area and you can also land there.

Espoo's Nuottalahti can be easily reached from the Sepetlahti marina. This route goes through Suinosalmi and around the Suvisaaristo to the island of Rövaren, and from there on the other side of the Suvisaaristo back to the starting point. There are several landing spots along the way. Rövaren island has a camping site, a beach, and several kitchen shelters that make it a great excursion destination. The Kokinmetsä fitness track is on the east side of the park and starts from the Olari parking area. The route is wide and fairly flat. In winter, the route is a groomed cross country ski trail, snow conditions permitting.
