This is a popular hillside trail leading to an old mine carved into solid rock, though the mine is now closed off. The hiker has a beautiful view of the valley and lake with the refreshment of cooling off in Farmington’s most popular mine. Many visitors make this trail into a loop, by continuing onto Flag Rock, and then returning down the Flag Rock Trail back to the starting area.
